As promised, I couldn’t finish it yesterday (stupid computer) but I got it done today!
Thanks to everyone for your comments yesterday, it seems like it got fixed after trying everything more thoroughly. Not sure what made the error stop but I’m happy it did.
So far no restarts or blue screens since I started translating this chapter up until now, yay!

Anyway, off to the chapter, enjoy it. We finally get another name in the story.

I was thinking vinegar XD , but can be they dont have. What you say is more logic (sorry my bad english) I think Yamamoto forget that or dont know how do it. (I don’t XD)

It’s usually a combination of smoking, curing, and drying to preserve meat as is. Either way he would still need salt to preserve the meat long term without any form of refrigeration. This article explains it well; https://www.foodfirefriends.com/how-long-does-smoked-meat-last/
