I read in a review that said person found it idiotic that the SDF didn’t help Ichijou in going to kill the boss despite saying they were doing everything for the people… I don’t know if that part is still ways away but at least I think it makes sense in the novel version, they don’t go help him since they need to keep the hospital safe and as we know, monsters attack the hospital almost every day and I don’t know if you know this but hospitalized people sometimes can’t even move.
I’m guessing they try to keep more flashy scenes going in the manga and therefore it’s lacking in worldbuilding.
