　After joining with Yukari in Leñador, she guided us as we visited the planned site for 『Second’s State』, the super luxurious residential area located in the outskirts of the Kingdom’s Capital.

 

　What’s in front of me is a mansion as I envisioned. A lawn garden huge enough to play soccer in it, a stupidly big pool with a wooden deck, a balcony with a panoramic view, palm trees all around, a two-storey huge mansion with lots of big windows, high ceilings and fairly well illuminated by natural light, a kitchen styled like a fancy bar, a living room large enough to double as an indoors tennis court; this is totally like a five star hotel.

 

“WH-WHAT THE HECK IS THIS……!? “

 

　Silvia’s incredibly loud voice sounded like someone at their death throes as she screamed in surprise.

 

“Will we stay here!? “

 

　Unable to stay put, Eko was excitedly running all over the place, to the first floor, to the second floor, all across the garden and around the pool.

 

“……This is just one ninth of it.”

 

　Yukari uttered in a state of shock. That’s exactly right. This is just one out of nine mansions, the『Mansion of the East』. I wonder what they would think of me. It’s completely an overkill. However, I’ll never say it out loud……

 

“W-Well, if you get bored we can move to another mansion. No, wait, we can just use them according to the season. This one will be for summer use! “

“It will cost money to maintain it even when it’s not in use, Master.”

“That’s alright, I can make as much money as I want.”

　Yukari sent me a questioning look.

 

“Do you want to see the other places?”

 

　Saying so, I ran away from her glare and walked towards the south.

No, it might be more proper to call this a castle rather than a mansion. Its nickname, 『Mansion of the Southeast』, this will be the servants’ house. 　The grand total was 21.6 billion CL. I feel this is just a small price to pay for all of this.

 

 

“Second-dono!　I was told we could move to the eastern mansion tonight!　I’m really looking forward to it! “

 

　Silvia was in high spirits.

 

　Well, I could understand her feelings very well. I’ve always been quite uninvolved with real life. The reason was, because Mobius was there, and that was enough for me. Well, socially speaking, I was a ‘failure’.

　However, now that this world has become my reality, my feelings about getting a mansion that could be called a proof of me being a ‘social success’ were getting bigger and bigger.

 

“HOOOoOoOOUUUUUUSeEEE! “

 

　Eko’s tension was through the roof, and she was acting a bit strange. Her voice sounded a bit parched too.

 

“We’ll have a barbecue today! “

 

　Well, even I was in the midst of an ecstatic feeling. While still walking to the east, I started to take out shrimp and meat from my inventory, and stab it with a stick. Why am I like this?

　And thus, our strangely excited four-person group had a barbeque in the wooden deck of the mansion all night.

    Also Eko, dunno if this has been said but when I first saw her name I thought Echo like repeats …and she started repeating what they said!

    Ah neko-chans are adorable. Nice to see such a cute positive girl, though I would like some more depth to her, I figure that might get addressed later or skipped, but it’s not bad so far for detail and growth for the women and doesn’t feel ridiculously harem yuck.

  12. First of all thanks you for the chapters. I’m thinking each mansion is for his future harem and the castle is probably the base off the party. Also as an architect I can’t fathom to see a medieval castle next to a Japanese style inn and near a mansion with large pool. Its like building a Frankenstein.

    • You know how in Japanese everything has a name? A proper name?
      Well, so do Japanese styled houses, they aren’t called Japanese styled houses, they are called something else.
      If I say katana or if I say Japanese sword I’m describing the same, but with different words.
      So you mean to say I should use words you don’t know the meaning of?

      • The dudes question was about the in character knowledge of the world. He was asking why the people in the other world would know what a Japanese styled house is, as logically, they shouldn’t. And we didn’t get told that he explained how a Japanese styled house looks to anyone, we don’t have proof that they should know how exactly it looks. Even if miraculously the other world uses the same language, their history and culture will be an entirely different thing. Houses are built to survive in their environment, hence why we have angled roofs, gutters, and stilts. This is also why houses in some areas have basements, while others do not. So why exactly would they know how to build them, without instruction, as they are living in what seems to be a different climate and under different circumstances than another worlds country that they have never heard of?

        • So, you want me to westernize the novel? I could have described the thing, since the word doesnt exist in english and the closer description to that word was “japanese-styled house”, which in my opinion many people could understand.
          It has nothing to do with anything you’re talking about. Go read something else. Or go read the original, this is a translation made so that the most people can understand the concepts spoken in it.

          • Extremely late but, I don’t think the comment was aimed at criticising you the translator but the author. Imagine a conversation between second and yukari, second says that the west building will be Japanese styled and yukari excepts that, now that should of happened in my opinion is that instead of just excepting, she would ask what is Japanese style, since people of the fantasy world wouldn’t know what that meant, to which second would then need to explain. Hope that explains it

  20. Yeah. Big. So big that’s it’s impractical. Big houses are nice but there comes a point where it gives you more burdens then being a positive aid.
