Chapter 1, Episode 16: Report (Other’s POV).
"Is it possible they were all killed? "
Grasil replied irritably to his subordinate's report in the luxurious private room reserved for him in the temple.
After that. He offered the saint Sharla a deal to bring Farne to her so that she would make him high priest.
And that idiot saint Sharla easily took him up on his offer.
Of course, there was no way that he would give that damned Farne to her.
The plan was to kill him and give her another man with Farne's appearance.
Then he would have been able to turn the saint into a puppet.
Therefore, the plan was to have Farne die and be reported as missing……
Well, apparently the adventurers he hired to kill Farne were dead.
The magical tools that were supposed to signal their survival were not responding.
That was not good. Or rather extremely unpleasant.
Those adventurers were hired through the temple.
If Farne were alive and claimed to have been almost killed by the adventurers, the investigation might extend to Grasil.
"The Temple's passage form in Farne's possession is still being reacted to in the Eldia Forest.
Perhaps he is in that forest.
Without it, you can't go to any other city."
One of his men told him holding a magical map.
"So you're in the Eldia Forest! ?
Now go arrange for someone else to go and kill him! !
I don't care about money! !
Otherwise, there will be no future for us! ! "
"Yes! ! "
The subordinate bowed and left.
That man was absolutely detestable.
He always walked in front of me, and was always loved by Lars more than me.
He was always at the top of his class in academics in the priest's study hall, but I never heard of him being skilled in the physical arts.
He must have been rather scholarly and did not do so well in the martial arts, for instance.
I can't believe that he turned the tables on those adventurers.
It was possible that he was killed in the forest with the adventurers, but there was nothing he could do without confirming the truth.
Eldia forest was a place where animals lived and there were no really vicious monsters.
It is hard to believe that these strong adventurers were killed.
Anyway, if he lived, Grasil's head would be on the line.
He needed to take care of it quickly.
But the problem was that the priests of the Lars faction were in the temple in the Eldia forest.
There's no way he could just order them to kill him.
He needed to quickly send his pursuers to kill him while he was in the Eldia forest.
He also needed to keep a close watch on the temple in the Eldia forest to see if Farne would come in contact with them.
Damn! ! It wasn't supposed to be like this! !
Grasil tapped his desk angrily.
