Idle Talk – The daily life of the Fan Club

 

There is a certain organization called 『Second’s Fan Club』.

　It’s a huge organization formed the very same day his short-term abroad studies started in the Royal Magic Academy.

　Saying there are 100 members would be an understatement, and among the members, 99%  consists of female students.

　Their activities are only one.

‘Watch Second attentively from a distance’.

　Specifically speaking, ‘Report at the regular meetings each and every single movement from Second in the campus, then get excited while coming up with all sorts of delusions’, is their main activity.

　They never come close to Second. Yet, they never remove their gaze from him.

　YES Second, NO touch―― That’s their iron rule.

　By the way, the regular meetings are held every day after school in an empty classroom. The number of participants increases day by day.

　Just what on earth drives them that far? There are two reasons.

　The first and most important reason is, the incredibly good looks of Second. His unusually well-proportionate face and flawless limbs that steal the eyes of the viewer. Not a small number of female students are captivated by him at first sight. His appearance is on a level where the members of the fan club can absorb themselves into it every day.

　And the second reason. That is, Second’s character. At first glance, looking at Second makes you feels like there’s a gap, and you can see a glimpse of his true character when he converses with an open-minded person. For example, he would sometimes speak or act boldly, then unexpectedly he would be a bit playful and mischievous, or he would make use of unforgiving brute force. There was always elegance in his acts, no matter if he looked cool, sexy or silly.

　Every time they caught a glimpse of one of Second’s hidden characteristics, the girls of the fan club gathered and immersed themselves in their stories.

　This was the kind of conflicts that occasionally broke out.

　It was just the daily life of the fan club.

　In addition, there is an elite team in the fan club called “Analysis Team”.

　Second finished his abroad study period, and had left the school for some time now. In front of the girls who were suffering from Second withdrawal, the analysis team came out with something incredible.

“Eko Leafret-san’s covered in mud case. Now that we have a rough overview of it, we will announce the results.”

　In this meeting’s time, the analysis team presented a report that had been independently investigated.

　Since it all relates to Second, the members’ interest was at full.

“While being called failure and incompetent, Eko-san was being bullied by many students, including the ones from first year class F. But according to the results of our investigations, we found out that the cause of her being covered in mud and lying on the road was due to the students of class F.”

　The classroom became noisy after hearing those words. There were different opinions, like “As expected” and “Unacceptable”.

“It all began when a male student pressed chores on Eko-san. He used to push all sorts of chores onto her on a regular basis and enjoyed watching her being troubled, but this time, it seems like it was made more intentionally.”

　What was that plan? The analysis group explained as they drew the events on the blackboard.

“Eko-san felt those chores were ‘worth doing’. Seems like her train of thought was that, if she couldn’t use magic, she could at least be useful that way. Therefore, she diligently did those chores. But the male students didn’t like it.

　On the blackboard, the picture of Eko carrying something in bag on a cart was drawn. What was inside was a lot of “soil”. And from the soil, an arrow extended… It pointed towards the drawing of a male student with a nasty-looking face.

“Eko-san, whom was not informed of the contents of the bag, carried it near the school gate. I think that since it was a chore assigned to her by her classmates, she was working hard in order to be useful. There, the fellow male student came and shot a Water Attribute First Form magic towards the dirt. When the water hit the soil, mud splashed everywhere. And Eko-san was bathed in it since she was at close distance.”

　The classroom once again boiled with noise. It was because it had been a bullying more terrible than they thought.

“I think you have seen it while she’d been together with Second-sama, but Eko-san is very clever. Perhaps she had already figured that the contents of the bag were dirt, and that they made her carry it in order to dirty her. Furthermore, nobody had asked her to do chores before in the first place. No one ever stood up for her, so maybe she had her own misconception that she would be recognized if she was to be useful, breaking the hopeless despair of her current situation since she couldn’t just sit and protest.”

　The air inside the classroom became heavy while everyone considered the analysis of the team. Everyone there thought “Poor girl”. But.

“……It happened about 200 meters from the spot. It’s a little washed away now, but a slight sign of bloodstains remains in that dead end.”

　The flow of the conversation changed.

“Why is Eko-san so attached to Second-sama? You all are aware that Second-sama immediately rushed to that place. But what happened after that? We, the analysis team, have investigated that.”

　And finally, the main subject.

　The air completely changed, and the classroom was enveloped in a strange ardor.

“After finding Eko-san covered in mud, Second-sama was trembling in anger and most likely said 『Damn cat, tell me who and where is the person who did this to you! 』. Then, when Eko-san kept silent, he replied 『Ohh, do you think you’re in a position to go against this great me? 』, and smacked the wall with his palm (TLN: Kabedon). Then, Eko-san pointed in the direction in which the boy from class F had left, her eyes watery and cheeks dyed in red. 『Good girl, now let’s go』, after saying that, Second-sama held Eko-san without worrying about the mud and went chasing the boy, so fast that his black-blue hair beautifully fluttered in the wind. And that location is that dead end alley, where only bloodstains remained.”

　Every time Second-like lines came out from the lips of the female student from the analysis team, the audience cheered and screamed in excitement.

“『Seeing how you had the guts to bully her in front of me, I’ll let you have the first move』, said Second-sama as he was drawing closer to the male student. The male student stepped back, but there was no escape. 『Perish! 』After Second-sama spoke, the male student fell down, vomiting blood『B-but you said you would let me have the first move…! 』And then he said『Iーーーdiot, that was a lie! 』.”

　Yeaaaaaah!!

　Foooooooooooo!!

　The classroom was wrapped in cheers and applause.

“And this is how Second-sama saved Eko-san, and the peaceful days returned to the school. And I got to confirm again that foreign students sure are amazing.”

　This concluded the presentation. The girls in the fan club stood up and lavishly applauded as the analysis team was leaving the stage.

“……I th-think I should refrain from entering……」

　It was yet to be known that Prince Maine, after seeing the scene and catching a glimpse of the activities of the fan club, had second thoughts on joining the club.
